About Us image

St. Barbara’s Anglican Catholic Church is a living branch of the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ. We profess the orthodox Christian Faith as received in the canonical Holy Scriptures, the three ancient Creeds, the Seven Ecumenical Councils, the consensus of the Church Fathers, and the Holy Tradition of the ancient and Undivided Church of the first millennium. We celebrate the seven Holy Sacraments of the historic Church. We joyfully proclaim the timeless Gospel of our Savior to all the world. We are a “Continuing” Anglican Church because we continue to live and practice the fullness of the Christian Faith in its unique English form — English Catholicism — which has been present in England since the early second century. Today, St. Barbara’s maintains the historic Catholic faith in the Anglican tradition. To learn more see Our Church page.

Holy Communion

Holy Communion

The Lord's Supper, the Food of Life and center of Divine Worship appointed by our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, is celebrated weekly using the sacred and reverent liturgies handed down to us through the centuries as preserved in the 1928 Book of Common Prayer and the Anglican Missal. We meet every Sunday at 10:30 a.m., as well as additional Holy Days on the Church Calendar.

Daily Office

Daily Office

Morning and Evening Prayer, known together as the Daily Office, is one of the most fundamental building blocks of Anglican life and worship. Morning and Evening Prayer walks you through confessing sin, worshipping God, reading scripture, and praying for yourself and others. We meet for Evening Prayer and Rosary every Tuesday starting at 6 p.m., and Morning Prayer every Friday at 9:30 a.m.

Child Faith Formation

Child Faith Formation

While children are encouraged to attend Holy Communion with their parents, both a nursery and Sunday School are available for children of all ages. We are especially pleased to announce that this year we are introducing the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) approach to the religious formation of children during Sunday School. CGS is a Montessori educational approach where children ask the questions and discover the answers through work with specially crafted presentations and materials. In it, they explore the life of Christ, the liturgical seasons, the things we sing and chant during Mass, the Lord’s Prayer, and many other aspects of His church. If you would like to learn more, please click the button below for details and a link to the CGS website.

SUPPORT

With Tithe or One Time Donation

As our mission church grows any donation is greatly needed and thankfully appreciated. If you are not inspired to give to us, please do not forsake giving to another charity or those in need: "All things come of thee, O LORD, and of thine own have we given thee" (I Chron. 29:14)
